GMH Records’ Underground Chaos Vol. 1 – Tracklist Revealed

This has got to tickle you in the balls. This is something exciting and if you cannot gauge as to how exciting it is, you don’t understand the very transient nature of the Pakistani Metal Scene and how Underground Chaos may potentially reignite it. I have been anxiously awaiting the compilation since I don’t know when. I am specifically psyched about the Aus Rine and Haramzada part. I am not as excited about the Kominas being featured on the compilation because the band somehow pisses me off – I like to think I am on a moral high ground. This shit is the real deal!

Nice work, but missing some big old names. Seems like a biased inclusion process. That’s understandable knowing how things went in the past in our country.

Can you please enlighten me about these BIG OLD NAMES that are missing. There has been absolutely no bias against any bands, since this has been coordinated with all the bands who were a part of the effort. Except for maybe one who had their own views and things couldn’t work out with them.

Most of the big old names ARE there. Really excited about the compilation….I can’t even single out a band because it all seems awesome.

lol@sameer
I kind of agree with sameer on this
There are many names that didn’t make it to the list, One of the old names like Soul Vomit, I wonder which bands had their own point of views lol.

Eh, who cares if x band didn’t get in. The compilation still looks pretty badass. I can’t wait to hear Haramzada and the new Cardinal Sin song, personally.

I honestly don’t get why there is this misconception of bands getting in or were chosen, i think everyone who came forward (except for maybe one)or were approached are on the compilation.

Anyways, Haramzada and Cardinal Sin are going to fucking slay, pretty much like every other track.

@ Gasmask:
I went on haramzada’s myspace a while back and it said something about the band being formed in 1984.. is that true, or is it just Babar Shaikh being funny?

Hahaha, i think it was written by the khanibbal. No it wasn’t formed in 1984, 2007-08 would be the right figure.

I am not in any band but I have been a keen follower of Pakistani metal scene for over 15 years. I didn’t post here to hurt someone’s ego.

and it would be nice if you get the guys off this list who ripped songs from Brazilian band’s music from Myspace … but then who would know? right?

This is exactly why our scene stands now where. Taking cheap shots at bands will not help anyone or the scene for that matter. My friend, you may dislike a band, or you may not appreciate the fact that a band that you know is not on the compilation, but that does not mean that you call bands ripp-offs, specifically bands from the scene you claim to be following for the past 15 years.

I don’t believe any of these bands are rip-offs or have ripped any bands music off.

Try to appreicate the scene that goes the extra mile by making original music, and not bands that cover music from other bands.

I totally respect your opinion, but i feel that calling whichever of these bands a rip-off is totally uncalled for.

Brazilian metal music is pretty much as great in magnitude as the Brazilian ppl on orkut. but ripping off and sounding similar has a lot of difference. with that many metal bands in the world its hard NOT to sound similar.

Pakistani metal bands are striving for a good underground metal scene. Its people like you that demotivate most of them and they end up being another bunch of cover bands out there. metal music isnt about criticising, warna in that context even the Brazilian bands would have ‘ripped off’ some San Fransisco bands or something, and so on…its about plain headbanging and enjoying the brutality.

You’ve been in the music scene for 15 years, and thats something I respect hugely. But you should atleast not go around labelling bands rip-offs, thats sad…

“but then who would know?” – are you sure you didnt want to hurt someones’ ego??

I see no reason why Cauldron Born’s track can’t be on the compilation . Seeing the track listing , I think they definitely make the cut.

Yeah but Cauldron Born weren’t formed when the submissions were open, if I recall correctly
