Our brethren in metal from across the border, The Flaming Skull Podcast, are going to be playing the Cardinal Sin track off Underground Chaos Vol. 1 later tonight so do not forget to tune in! Also, The Flaming Skull Podcast are now the official distributors of Gasmask Holocaust Records’ Underground Chaos Vol. 1 in India.
Look Busy Do Nothing is an experimental outfit based in Karachi. The band includes Talha Asim Wynne, Daniel Arthur Panjwaneey (of Messiah fame) and Kayzad Giara. They play a brand of psychedelic rock very similar to artists associated with the neo-psychedelia movement of the 80s, with some shoegaze undertones.
I have been meaning to do a profile on these guys for quite some time now but I never really could get around to doing it until today. They have got quite a lot of achievements under their belt and one of them includes a major Pink Floyd Tribute at the Base Rock Cafe. They also have themselves a music video.
Talha Asim of the band has been regularly having his music posted on Shoegazer Alive and Homemade Lo-fi Psychedelic and his music has also gotten airplay on Air Atlantic Radio, an underground station.
Go ahead and check these guys out! Definitely worth your while!
I am not quite sure about their origins but the band’s probably based in Islamabad. Depletion includes Waqar Ghayas (of Cauldron Born fame), Shahab Khan, Afraz Mamoon, Ali Sufyan and Danish Kayani (of Venom Vault fame) as part of its line-up. I like the song a lot. It reminds me Utumno, Crypt of Kerberos and Darkified… all at the same time and a mental recitation of what I am saying would sound very similar to Subliminal Infestation. Kick-ass work indeed! 2010 seems promising.
