Project Berklee – The Malice

Lahore based guitar prodigy Umair Nadeem and mercenary drummer Asad Farooq (currently also playing for Lahori groove/thrashers Dementia) have just put out their first single ‘The Malice’ which will also feature on Death Revolution Record’s compilation ‘Metallic Infestation – Outbreak #1′. Ahmed Waqar (Odyssey) features on bass and this was produced by none other than Raza Ali (Dementia) himself. Check this out, this is some truly amazing stuff from 2 very young musicians. Total support.

Necktarium – Dreamblur RELEASED

Necktarium has been featured on the blog before but it was mostly me being a complete fanboy. This time around, however, I am going to save you a demonstration of my manlove for Wernahul and I have some music for you. As for people who have been living under a rock all this time, Necktarium is an atmospheric black metal project from Rawalpindi by Abbas Haider of Abyssed which pursues a sound inspired by the likes of Velvet Cacoon, Kauan and Lifelover with some shoegazing tendencies. Dreamblur is the title of the demo and IT KICKS ASS.  I will hopefully follow up with a review soon.

ReVolt – Birth

The following is a song off ReVolt’s upcoming album, Seasons of Oblivion, that they plan on releasing this October. They are going to put this release out through Animatix Records. The song has also been featured on a compilation titled Metal Asia Compilation. Check out ReVolt demonstrating what the Islamabad/Rawalpindi scene is known for.
