Ruin single teaser

I was caught off-guard with this teaser. A part of me was expecting something in the progressive/technical death metal vein, considering Lead Guitarist Ibrahim Imdad‘s (who did a live gig with Odyssey, by the way) excellent taste in that side of the metal spectrum. This is still very cool, I’m getting a nice Kalmah vibe from this. I’m interested in how the full single will turn out.

Newly recruited bassist Ahmad Abbass (ex- Aitchison College Music Society) commented for The Iron Markhor: “It’s a different approach than one would expect from a band like Ruin, but I’m certain it’s going to turn out awesome with Ibzi’s guitar work and Bhatty’s sinister vocals.”

New Black Warrant sample

No, these motherfuckers aren’t dead yet! This sample is from their upcoming album “Decade of Destruction” (which has been pushed forward ANOTHER YEAR, to my utter disappointment). There’s the trademark Black Warrant thrashy industrial riffage in this 20 second sample, but with the slickest production this band has achieved yet. Though the 20 second example isn’t exactly a portrayal of how the album is going to turn out, it’s good enough to remind us that Black Warrant are still alive and kicking.

Announcement

Dear Reader,

The Iron Markhor, hereby, pronounces its disassociation with Stampedes.inc. We had initially vowed to support Kamran Ata and Stampedes.inc both logistically and morally. Due to certain unfortunate and unforeseen developments, however, we have decided to discontinue our support for Stampede.inc.

We do not hold anything against Stampedes.inc nonetheless, we do wish to bring some uncompromisingly honest facts into your esteemed attention; Stampedes.inc has infringed on our rights and our journalistic integrity (refer to the LAWS of the Cyber Space) by blatantly thieving our compilation, Spawns of the Indus, which was, in originality, a non-profit, harmless and carefree way of orientating the Pakistani Metalhead with what the Pakistani Metal Scene has in store for him (NO WOMYN) and condition him for what is to follow. We, nevertheless, regret that our non-profit, harmless and carefree attempt at archiving what the Pakistani Metalhead has come to cherish, was capitalized upon by Stampedes.inc without us being given the credit that is certifiably due and it is for the afore-mentioned reasons that we can no longer continue our support for Stampedes.inc.
