Apocalypse 2010

As far as I know, the Apocalypse 2010 is an attempt at reviving/reliving a series of shows that took place back in the early 2000s, titled Apocalypse, of course. I could be wrong. I don’t give a fuck. The show is set to happen in Islamabad tomorrow and the show features the following bands;

Wreckage
Depletion
Serpent
Viraag
Revolt
Cranial Nerves
Odyssey
Ruin
Dementia
Foreskin
Jonathan Jones

The Mosh Pit

Alright, guys, there is a show happening up there in Lahore on Sunday and somehow, former Markhor writer, Hassan Umer, is involved. The show features bands such as Odyssey, Takatak, Cranial Nerves, Wreckage etc. among other awesome acts. Now I realize us Pakistanis have been conditioned to take “good news” with a pinch of salt and getting to see all these bands under one roof, it is not hard to see why some of you would be skeptical. Fuck that. This is real. Be there or bust a nut to some Bollywood (I will do the latter).

Cranial Nerves – Revenge Is Ours

This is pretty cool. Taureg Tariq’s latest project, and acts as sort of a sister band to Cauldron Born. What type of music do they play? Well, if Cauldron Born was death/thrash with more of an emphasis on refining the death metal aspect of the sound, this is just straight up balls-to-the-motherfucking wall thrash metal with a shade of death metal. Sounds similar to the 80′s wave of death/thrash bands, like Numskull, Incubus (NOT the shitty pop band, the FIRST, REAL, Incubus), Slaughter, Sacrifice waghairah.
