Necktarium Signs with Depressive Illusions Records

The Rawalpindi Black Metal act, Necktarium, has signed with Depressive Illusions Records based in Ukraine sealing the deal with their demo, Dreamblur, which is now out on tape. The release is limited to a mere 100 tapes. Get it while you can. Dreamblur is also set to be released by Khrysanthoney, the people responsible for releases from the likes of Velvet Cacoon, Clair Cassis, Sleeping Peonies, Petrychor etc. I hope you are able to appreciate that Necktarium is now counted amongst the shoegazing black metal elite which is a huge thing for the local scene. FUCK YES!

Necktarium – Dreamblur RELEASED

Necktarium has been featured on the blog before but it was mostly me being a complete fanboy. This time around, however, I am going to save you a demonstration of my manlove for Wernahul and I have some music for you. As for people who have been living under a rock all this time, Necktarium is an atmospheric black metal project from Rawalpindi by Abbas Haider of Abyssed which pursues a sound inspired by the likes of Velvet Cacoon, Kauan and Lifelover with some shoegazing tendencies. Dreamblur is the title of the demo and IT KICKS ASS.  I will hopefully follow up with a review soon.

Necktarium

Another lazy post, yes. I don’t know what I have been doing really. I just cannot bring myself to write anything as of late. I have been aware of Necktarium long before Abbas made a Myspace page. I have been fortunate enough to preview the tracks long before they made it to Myspace but still, let me just attribute this to a lack of almost everything (see what I did there?). :D Necktarium is beauty that has a Black Metal posturing. I do not think lumping the band together with Alcest or any other Lantlos clone band would do. Whatever you want to call it, it is for you to decide. I merely would like you to lend Necktarium your ears.

Sorr Makhaam – Promo (Ambient Black Metal from Islamabad)

Cover-(Front)

I don’t really know a lot about this band. Lord Wernahul of Abyssed introduced me to the band.

I haven’t actually given it a proper listen so I can’t form an opinion just yet. Nevertheless, this is  an authentic piece of Ambient/Depressive Black Metal along the lines of some Sombres Forêts. This is a highly recommended release.
